Project Controller: On behalf of our Natural Gas client, Procom is searching for a Project Controller for a 12 month contract. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

Project Controller - : The Project Controller will be a key member of the Project Services team, responsible for overseeing cost control and scheduling across various projects with budgets exceeding $5M. The role involves managing and controlling project costs and schedules to ensure successful project delivery within budget and timelines.

Project Controller - Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage project costs to ensure they remain within budget, including validation of costs, accrual management, and budget creation.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, financial status, and potential risks.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and mitigate risks to timelines.
- Support tracking and reporting of change orders, ensuring changes are approved and documented.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to meet project goals using industry best practices.





Project Controller - Mandatory Skills:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in project management software like Primavera P6 and Oracle.
- Solid project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management skills.
- Experience in financial analysis, accounting, or budget management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized for managing project costs and change orders.

Project Controller – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Proficiency in Power BI and Power Query.
- Project Management Certifications (such as AACE International or PMI).
- Experience working in a regulated utility environment.
- Experience in project management or controls.
- Experience working on major projects.

Project Controller – Assignment Length: This is a contract for approx. 12 months Project Controller - Assignment Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This position is hybrid with 3 days in the office.
