Role Description

This is a full-time in office role for a Board Member at ERA, located in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities include providing strategic leadership to guide ERA's mission and vision while ensuring the organization operates with integrity and accountability.

Board

Members will contribute to decision-making,



advise on policies, support organizational fundraising efforts, and foster partnerships within the community. Active engagement in monitoring ERA's progress toward its strategic objectives and leveraging personal or qualified networks for advocacy and resource development is essential to this role. Additional commitments include attending scheduled board meetings, reviewing reports, and participating in committees to support ERA's goals.

Qualifications
Leadership, decision-making, and governance experience
Strategic planning and organizational management skills
Robust communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Experience in environmental sustainability, non-profit operations, or social impact initiatives
Knowledge of financial oversight, fundraising strategies, or community engagement
Commitment to ERA’s mission and values in reducing e-waste and bridging the digital divide
Diverse professional and personal networks to foster advocacy and partnerships
Previous board or leadership experience is an asset but not mandatory
