Penn Automotive is a family owned and operated business serving our customers since 1965. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Automotive Service Advisor.

The Automotive Shop Helper/Maintenance Worker supports various functions of a busy automotive repair shop.

Duties - Mechanic Helper

· Assist in repairing and maintaining vehicles and heavy equipment
Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as lubrication, oil and filter change, remove, install, rotate and balance tires
Retrieve customer tires from storage and put tires to be stored into storage area. Periodically conduct inventory of stored tires
Pick up and deliver customer vehicles, including driving customers home
Vehicle detailing, including Penn owned vehicles
Re-stock inventory, order tires, etc.
Assist with moving vehicles in and out of storage (impound and winter storage)

Duties - Maintenance
General custodial duties - sweeping, vacuuming, etc.



- cleaning of all areas
Performs minor repairs around shop
Snow removal of parking lot, walkways and entrances
Grass cutting, trimming
Burning of cardboard, paper, etc., including notifying ITFD of burn
Pile used tires, clean up steel., etc., ensuring premises are neat, tidy and hazard free

Duties - Other
Performs other duties as assigned

· Responsible as an employee for health and safety

Requirements

· Highschool diploma or equivalent

· Basic knowledge of automotive repair principles and processes
Experience in property maintenance, equipment and tools
Ability to handle heavy lifting and other physical demands of the job

· Ability to multi-task

· Positive attitude, robust work ethic, and willing to work as part of a team

· Valid driver’s license (minimum G2) and clean driver's abstract

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
