Krause Farm Store & Café is looking for an experienced Barista to join our team in a full-time, year-round position.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, positive, reliable and enjoys working with people. Our coffee bars can be busy and fast-paced, especially during our summer season, so you need to be comfortable working at a good pace while still providing great service to our guests.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing espresso drinks, coffee, tea and other café beverages
Using and maintaining commercial espresso machines and coffee equipment
Taking and preparing guest orders
Providing friendly and efficient customer service
Working POS and handling cash, credit and debit payments accurately
Keeping the coffee bar clean, organized and well stocked
Restocking supplies throughout the day
Packaging and labelling products when required
Opening and closing duties
Following food safety and cleaning procedures
Helping your Team Lead and other team members wherever needed
What we're looking for:
Minimum 1 year of barista experience
Full-time, year-round availability
Must be available to work weekends
Adaptable availability is significant as shifts may include early mornings and evenings
Friendly and comfortable interacting with guests
Able to work quickly and stay organized during busy periods
Reliable and able to work well with others
Positive verbal and written communication skills in English
Able to follow instructions and prioritize tasks
Takes pride in keeping a clean and organized workspace
Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
