Rock Pine Construction is a locally owned construction and landscaping company based in North Bay, building in the Near North since 2010. We do custom carpentry, decks, docks and outbuildings, hardscape and stonework, and we run a year-round stone cutting shop. Our jobs are in North Bay, Callander, Sturgeon Falls and the surrounding lakes - no long-distance travel and no camp work.

We are hiring carpenters at two levels.

EXPERIENCED CARPENTER (3+ years)
Frame, sheath and finish decks, docks, pergolas, sheds and small structures
Work from plans, drawings and site layout
Run a task start to finish with minimal supervision
Keep a clean, safe, organized jobsite
Help bring apprentices along

APPRENTICE / CARPENTER'S HELPER
No formal experience required - we will teach you the trade
Material handling, layout, cutting, fastening and site cleanup
Show up on time, work safely and take direction well
A real interest in learning the trade matters more to us than a resume

WHAT WE OFFER
$20.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience and what you can do on site




Full time hours
4% vacation pay
Diverse work - carpentry, hardscape and shop work, rarely two days the same
A small crew where positive work gets noticed
Work is year-round where the schedule allows; a winter layoff is possible depending on workload

WHAT YOU NEED
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to the shop and jobsites
Your own basic hand tools and tool belt (we supply all power tools and equipment)
Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors year-round
CSA-approved steel-toed boots and safety gear
Working at Heights certification is an asset

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
