I am hiring on behalf of a leading hospitality group for a newly created Regional Director of Hotel Operations position, based in Vancouver.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Assistant Director of Hotel Operations will support the operational performance of a portfolio of 10+ owned and managed hotels across North America.

This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and hotel General Managers, providing operational guidance, driving standards, and supporting the continued performance and growth of the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Support the Director of Operations in overseeing operational performance across the hotel portfolio.
Partner closely with General Managers to drive service standards, guest satisfaction, profitability, and operational excellence.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to hotel leadership teams.




Review operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices.
Build solid relationships with General Managers and property-level leadership.
Support strategic initiatives and operational projects across the portfolio.
Ensure consistency in standards, processes, and guest experience across properties.
Travel approximately 3 times annually to the US and 2 times annually to Toronto.

Candidate Profile
Proven senior-level hotel operations experience.
Previous General Manager experience strongly preferred.
Luxury or upscale hotel background preferred, ideally within a Four Seasons, Fairmont, or comparable environment.
Strong understanding of hotel operations and the ability to work credibly with experienced General Managers.
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
Solid leadership presence, work ethic, and commercial mindset.
Comfortable working across multiple properties and markets.
Hospitality degree is not required; relevant operational experience is the priority.
