As a Wood Finisher, you will be responsible for applying finishes, sanding, and polishing wood surfaces to achieve high-quality results that meet our standards of excellence. Responsibilities
Prepare wood surfaces by sanding, scraping, and cleaning to ensure a smooth base for finishing.
Apply stains, paints, varnishes, or sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and consistency.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely to assemble components or make adjustments as needed.
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on finishing machinery.
Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and minimize waste during finishing processes.
Conduct quality inspections throughout the finishing process to ensure color consistency, surface smoothness, and overall finish quality.




Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and finishing tasks.
Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining finishing equipment such as spray booths and sanding machines.
Experience with machining processes relevant to wood finishing applications.
Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing finishes accurately.
Familiarity with crane or forklift operation is a plus for moving large or heavy wood pieces safely.
Knowledge of welding can be beneficial for minor repairs or assembly tasks involving metal components.
Robust understanding of manufacturing processes, including lean principles, to enhance productivity and quality standards.
