This role supports both pre-construction and active project phases, ensuring designs meet structural requirements, manufacturer specifications, and building codes.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation plans for roofing, cladding, and glazing systemsPerform engineering calculations related to structural loads, attachment methods, and system performanceSeal and sign architectural drawings, calculations,



and other documentation as requiredReview architectural and structural drawings to identify project requirements and potential conflictsCollaborate with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to develop constructible and cost-effective solutionsCoordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure compliance with product specificationsAssist with submittal packages, RFIs, and technical documentationUpdate drawings and engineering documents throughout the project lifecycleProvide technical support to field crews during installationProfessional Structural Engineer, Licensed in the Province of OntarioExperience in commercial construction; experience with roofing, cladding, or glazing systems is a solid assetProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting softwareStrong understanding of building codes, structural principles, and envelope systemsAbility to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawingsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
