The successful candidate will have excellent guiding and caring skills and the ability to work in a diverse, multicultural, and energetic environment.ABOUT THE POSITIONUsing a team approach Childcare Educator- School Age provides a developmentally appropriate Reggio inspired and inclusive quality Daycare Program for children.



A Childcare Educator- OSC performs all of the following duties:Ensure curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices are in place in the daycareCo-create programming with the staff team and childrenUse innovative methods for documentation and curriculum design such as the use of anecdotal observations, finished products, photographs, and written dialogueAttend meetings and workshops to develop and discuss program curriculum and work competenciesInteract with children and staff to encourage their involvement in activitiesHave an understanding of typical developmental pathwaysSafetyBe informed of and follow all licensing regulations and requirementsUse positive methods of discipline that is child-centered and respectfulClassroom monitoringEnsure room is clean and toys are disinfected, furniture, equipment and toys are safe for children and cleaning products or medicines are kept where children cannot get to themCommunity CultureBe available to connect families with community resourcesEstablish and maintain collaborative relationships with other community service providersEstablish and maintain valuable communications with familiesWork collaboratively with volunteers and practicum studentsMay be required to work in other Kits House childcare programs to ensure continuity of care & ensure licensing regulations are metPerform other duties (as needed)SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSExperience working with children aged 5 -12 years20 hours of Childcare Training (in development,
