Join Our Team at Lakeland Catholic School DivisionFull-time Educational Assistant | Start Date: As soon as possibleFull-Time (1.0 FTE) | Holy Family Catholic SchoolWaskatenau, Alberta | 2026–2027 School YearLakeland Catholic School Division is currently seeking a full-time Educational Assistant to support students atHoly Family Catholic School in Waskatenau, AB for the 2026-2027 school year.Serving students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, this position requires a skilled and compassionate professional with a solid background in supporting adolescence—particularly those with behavioural needs, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other complex challenges.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs in classroom and individual settingsImplement behavioural support strategies aligned with student support plansAssist with emotional regulation, engagement, and independence skillsWork collaboratively with teachers and inclusive education teams in a Catholic school settingMaintain student dignity and a safe, respectful learning environment.Required Qualifications:Minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Educator (ECE)



Certification or willingness to obtain (Level 2 or 3 preferred)Demonstrated experience supporting students with complex learning needsStrong working knowledge of behavioural strategies and intervention techniquesAbility to maintain professionalism and emotional regulation in dynamic situationsAlignment with the values and mission of Catholic education.Additional Assets:NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention), First Aid, or similar certification (or willingness to obtain)Familiarity with assistive tech and alternative learning toolsStrong interpersonal, documentation, and teamwork skillsFrench language skills are considered an asset, but are not required for this positionThis position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.The successful applicant will be required to provide a Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Intervention Record Check.
