General Description:

We are seeking skilled Assistant Press Operators to join our team. In this role, you will support the Press Operator in the setup and operation of flexographic printing presses, monitor and maintain ink viscosity throughout production runs, and ensure equipment and work areas are kept clean, organized, and operating efficiently.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Read dockets, sample board and schedule book to determine run schedules
Assist Press Operator with Press set-up; including changing cylinders, sleeves, aniloxes and other parts
Provide ink & maintain ink viscosity during run
Load raw material onto press with lifting equipment
Unload printed rolls from press & strap onto skids
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, and area
Other duties as assigned
Adhere to all Safety rules in secure operation & handling of equipment and materials

Skills/Abilities:
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs unaided

Education/Experience:
Prior knowledge of the print industry
Press experience is an asset
High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Completion of printing program/diploma an asset
Basic computer skills.



Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel an asset

Shift: 3 shift rotation (Midnights, Afternoons and Days)
Two weeks of 7:00am – 3:15pm;
Two weeks of 3:00pm – 11:15pm;
Two weeks of 11:00pm – 7:15 am
Monday to Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $25.54 per hour
