Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a robust commitment to improving the well-being of clients, especially seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves supporting patients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a respectful and caring environment.

Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring
Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
Help with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and maintaining a safe setting
Assist with transfers and heavy lifting to ensure client safety
Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, especially those with dementia or in hospice care
Document care provided accurately and report any concerns to supervising staff
Support clients in engaging in recreational activities or therapies tailored to their needs

Skills




Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
Knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration and dementia care
Ability to work effectively with seniors, people with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or senior care
Robust caregiving skills with compassion, patience, and empathy
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs
Good communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to adapt to different care settings and client needs
