Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our team. This role involves transforming beautifully crafted cakes into edible works of art, ensuring each product meets our high standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing, decorating, and delivering exceptional customer service in a rapid-paced food industry workplace. Experience in food handling, kitchen operations, and food safety is preferred, along with a keen eye for design and precision. This position offers an opportunity to showcase artistic talent.

Responsibilities
Decorate cakes according to customer specifications by using various techniques and tools
Prepare cake fillings, frostings, and other decorative elements with attention to detail
Ensure all goods are properly packaged for sale or delivery while maintaining freshness and presentation quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as mixing, freezing, and assembling baked goods when needed




Interact professionally with customers to understand their decorating requests and provide excellent customer service
Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders during busy periods

Skills
Proven experience in cake decorating, food preparation, or related culinary arts is highly desirable
Solid knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
Skilled in various decorating techniques including piping, fondant work, airbrushing, and color coordination
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interpret customer requests creatively and professionally
Basic understanding of baking processes and kitchen operations within the food industry
Good organizational skills for managing multiple orders and maintaining a clean work area
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision

Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
