Surface To Surface Inc. designs and manufactures mud-mixing systems for the directional drilling and mineral exploration industries. We're looking for a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our production team and build the high-quality equipment our customers rely on.
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to read blueprints, fabricate components, and produce clean, structurally sound welds on a variety of materials. This role is a great fit for someone who takes pride in precision work and wants to be part of a hands-on manufacturing team.
What You'll Do
Read and interpret drawings and work orders to determine fabrication specifications.
Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick, as required)
Cut, shape, and fit metal components using saws, shears, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools
Perform quality checks on finished welds and fabricated parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances
Operate grinders and other finishing tools to prepare and clean welds
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop safety standards
Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to troubleshoot fabrication issues




Maintain and perform basic upkeep on welding and fabrication equipment

What You'll Need
[3+] years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
Strong understanding of fabrication tools, techniques, and shop safety practices
Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, squares, etc.) and provided jigs
Physical ability to lift [up to 50 lbs], stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality artistry
Welding certification(s) preferred but not required
