POSITION SCOPE

Laidlaw is looking for a Driver trainer to be responsible for ensuring that our drivers are effectively trained to do their jobs professionally, and safely. Ensure that everyone operates in compliance with our policies and procedures, and meets and/or exceeds Government regulations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Road tests

· Orientation, training, and onboarding for new drivers

· Internship program

· Remedial training as required

· Spot checks

· Assist in accident, inspection, and citation investigations

· Satellite training and ELD Reviews

· Operational requirements as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 10 years working as a Class AZ driver and 5 years cross boarder experience

· 2 years’ experience coaching recent drivers

· Experience with Van and Reefer trailers would be an asset

· Microsoft Office basic proficiency

· Clean Abstract / CVOR

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.





· Solid interpersonal and presentation skills.

Schedule:

· Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, due to the nature of the role, there may be occasional requirements to respond to calls or urgent matters outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends.

· Traveling as required

Work Location:

· This is an on-site position. Employees are required to work from the designated workplace and remote work is not available.
