At SICOM Industries Ltd., a division of Boundary Group, we are looking for a Quality Control Inspector who brings technical aptitude, hands-on manufacturing knowledge, and a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;).

You don't need to come to us as an experienced CMM programmer.

We'll invest in your development and provide CMM training.

What You'll Do

As part of our Quality team, you'll work closely with experienced quality professionals, machinists, and production teams to ensure the components we manufacture meet demanding customer and engineering requirements.

You will

- Perform dimensional inspections of precision-machined components
- Complete first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T; requirements
- Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other inspection tools
- Select appropriate measuring equipment based on the feature and tolerance being inspected
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines using established programs as your training progresses
- Develop your CMM knowledge through company-supported training
- Accurately complete inspection reports and quality documentation
- Verify product conformity throughout the manufacturing process
- Identify and document components that do not meet specifications
- Communicate inspection findings clearly with Quality, machining, and production teams
- Assist with investigations into quality concerns and non-conforming products




- Support corrective actions and continuous improvement activities
- Help maintain inspection equipment and calibration requirements
- Follow SICOM's Quality Management System, safety standards, policies, and procedures

What You'll Bring

We're looking for technical capability and potential—not someone who already knows everything.

You will need

- Working knowledge and practical experience with GD&T;
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings
- A technical background gained through machining, manufacturing, mechanical technology, quality inspection, engineering technology, or a related field
- Experience working with dimensional tolerances and precision measurements
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, or similar tools
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about how and why things work
- Ability to learn new equipment, software, and inspection methods
- Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English

What Would Be an Asset Any of the following would be valuable, but they are not required:

- Previous quality inspection experience
- CNC or manual machining experience
- Experience operating a CMM
- Exposure to PC-DMIS or ZEISS CALYPSO
- First-article or in-process inspection experience
- Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment
- Technical diploma,



certificate, apprenticeship training, or other relevant technical education

CMM Programming Experience Is Not Required. If you bring the technical foundation, GD&T; knowledge, and willingness to learn, SICOM will provide training to help you develop your CMM capabilities. Why SICOM? This isn't a role where you'll spend your career simply checking parts.
