We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child and Youth Care Practitioner to join our team in creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering setting for children and youth. Responsibilities
Provide compassionate care and supervision to children and youth in various settings, ensuring their safety at all times
Develop and implement engaging activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional growth
Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance as needed
Foster a positive environment that encourages open communication, respect, and trust
Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support each child's unique needs and goals
Document observations, progress notes,



and incident reports accurately to track development and address concerns promptly
Assist in teaching life skills, self-care routines, and behavioral management strategies

Qualifications
Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to connect with youth through effective communication and empathy
Knowledge of teaching methods or educational techniques that support child development
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
Ability to remain calm, patient, and proactive in challenging situations
Relevant certifications or training in child care or youth work are a plus but not mandatory
A genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and well-being

Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
