This role is central to maintaining a safe, compliant, and productive work environment on site.About the RoleReporting to the Site Superintendent and safety management, the CSO will implement and monitor our safety program on site, conduct inspections and training, and ensure compliance with Alberta OH&S; legislation and company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement, monitor, and enforce the company Health & Safety program on siteConduct regular site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety auditsLead safety orientations, toolbox talks,



and ongoing crew trainingInvestigate incidents and near‐misses; complete documentation and corrective actionsMaintain safety records, including training matrices, inspections, and reportingEnsure compliance with Alberta OH&S; Act, Regulation, and CodeCoordinate with subtrades to confirm safety compliance and documentation (e.G. safe work practices, SDS, hazard assessments)Monitor high‐risk activities such as concrete forming, crane and hoisting operations, fall protection, and confined spacesSupport emergency response planning and preparedness on sitePromote a positive safety culture and act as a resource for site personnelRequired Skills & ExperienceValid NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) or CSO designation, or equivalentProven experience as a Safety Officer on commercial or high‐rise construction projectsStrong working knowledge of Alberta OH&S; legislation and COR requirementsExperience conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigationsFamiliarity with high‐rise concrete construction hazards an assetCurrent certifications (e.G.
