Responsibilities
Stock and replenish fresh produce displays efficiently, ensuring all items are appealing and properly labeled
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce area, including cleaning shelves, bins, and workstations
Assist customers with their inquiries, providing friendly and knowledgeable service to enhance their shopping experience
Operate equipment such as pallet jacks safely when handling large or heavy produce shipments
Support merchandising efforts by arranging produce attractively and following planograms or promotional displays
Conduct regular quality checks on produce to identify freshness, damage or spoilage, removing items as needed
Handle cashiering duties accurately at checkout stations, processing transactions efficiently while maintaining excellent customer relations
Qualifications
Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for working with people is essential
Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus but training can be provided
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers in bilingual settings if applicable
Knowledge of merchandising techniques and maintaining cleanliness standards within a retail setting
Organizational skills to manage stock levels, keep the area tidy, and follow safety procedures
Willingness to perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment or workspaces regularly
