Red Seal Heavy-Duty Mechanic – Dump Trucks & Hydrovac Trucks

We are looking for an experienced Red Seal Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience maintaining and repairing dump trucks and hydrovac trucks, along with a solid understanding of heavy-duty equipment and diesel systems. This position is a mobile position

Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and braking systems
- Service and repair dump trucks and hydrovac trucks
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and related components
- Complete regular maintenance and safety inspections
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard




- Respond to breakdowns and perform field repairs when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

- Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy-Duty Mechanic certification required
- Proven experience working on dump trucks and hydrovac trucks
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy-duty truck components
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver's licence
- Class 1 or Class 3 licence is an asset
- CVI inspection experience is an asset
- Previous field-service experience is an asset

Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
