They are looking for an Engineering Product Designer to join their Guelph office on a permanent full time basis.The Product Designer provides design and technical support for preparation of shop drawing packages for submission and fabrication as well as guidance to Operations for technical issues. They also maintain the technical information in accordance with internal design and drafting principles and practices.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret contract drawingsPrepare and review shop drawings shop drawingsMaintain registry documentsDesign using CSA and OPS StandardsDesign and stamp underground precast concrete structuresManage projects,



handle clients and coordinate with production to meet customer deadlinesImplement standard practices for the operations team to maintain a high level of technical standardsQualificationsCivil Engineering DegreeProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) Designation and registered with PEO is preferred4+ years' experience in a similar or equivalent roleDemonstrated proficiency with reading and interpreting construction blueprintsEffective communication skills (verbal and written)Effective in STAADPRODemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, STAAD Pro or Other, Concise Beam, DatabasesStrong personal organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detailProject Management and Scheduling experience is required
