Base + CommThe Senior Account Executive will be responsible for the maintenance of productive relationships with Benefits Consultants and group policyholders, new business sales, and management of accounts of an in-force business portfolio. The successful candidate will work with a team to reach or exceed the objectives-sales, profitability, renewal, and persistency targets-set by management. The management of those targets requires great decision-making ability, initiative, and creativity within a team.What You Will DoManage a block of in-force large and/or complex Group Benefits clientsDevelop and maintain relationships with consultants and clients, be attentive to their needs so that they are excited to do business with Canada LifeLead the sales process from request for proposal to finalist presentationPerform all duties related to the management of accounts assigned, in particular financial duties such as annual account renewal, financial reports, etc.Solve problems related to unusual or delicate claims and address financial matters for which guidelines are not available or act in cases where a decision must be taken after consultation with Field ManagementEstablish and maintain good working relationships with internal partnersWork collaboratively with respective service counterparts to ensure customer service needs are exceededPromote additional products and services with consultants, plan sponsors, and service counterparts to enhance client retentionAchieve annual sales, persistency, in-force growth, profit and other targetsWhat You Will BringBilingualism (fluent in French and English) required, as the position will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking need7+ years of group insurance experience and thorough knowledge of group life insurance, healthcare insurance, disability insurance, and underwritingExcellent communication skills,
ideally both spoken and written in both French and English with an enthusiasm for doing presentations.Excellent mathematical skillsAbility to act quickly and put forward innovative solutionsAbility to work in a fast-evolving environment and adapt to growth and changeStrong sales and interpersonal skills as well as motivation to achieve business objectivesKnowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPointValid driver's license and vehicle, given in-person meetings, the travel needsDesignation of C.A.A.S. [certified group benefits advisor], GBA (Group Benefits Associate), or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) is a significant assetUndergraduate diploma or equivalentReliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada LifeThis position will be located in the Montreal head office and follows a hybrid work model, with an in-office presence required three days per week.The base salary for this position is between $88,100 - $138,100 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.E. annual bonus, commission etc).
