The Registered

Nurse demonstrates an ability to incorporate knowledge of patient's age, growth and development level in the provision of care.

- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
- Current BCLS certification
- Two years experience within the past three years in an Urgent Care, Emergency or Critical Care setting
- Proven proficiency in a current triage standards for adults and children preferred
- Proven ability to work in a high volume, high turnover environment
- Demonstrated current knowledge of rapid assessment and management in broad range of disease process
- Demonstrated knowledge of the community resources,



regional programs and the Patient Priority System
- Demonstrated expertise in a physical assessment, 12 Lead ECG monitoring, health teaching, and clinical decision making
- Demonstrated current knowledge of cardiac and respiratory arrest procedures and competency in critical practice
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and community resources
- Demonstrated well developed leadership ability, excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, maintenance of critical care skills and participation in ongoing continuing education in an Emergency Department
- ACLS, PALS preferred
