Position Vacancy: Operating Room

Position: Temporary Part Time Registered Nurse

Hours of Work: Days, Evenings and Weekend

Location: WRHN @ Midtown (formerly Grand River Hospital, KW Campus)

Position Summary :

To incorporate the knowledge and skills necessary to function within the of Registered Nurse - Operating Room. Contributes to ensuring there is a protected environment to patients, staff and visitors.

Position Requirements:

- Current registration and in good standings with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 2 years’ of Operating Room experience preferred

- Perioperative Certification preferred
- Accredited Operating Room Course required
- Familiar with Operating Room Workload Measurement
- Familiar with standards, policies, procedures and physician protocols for the Operating Room
- Familiar with care of the perioperative patients of all ages

- CPR certification required
- Can meet physical demands of standing, lifting and being on call
- Ability to deal with physiologically/psychosocially stressed patients in an active, high turnover area
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills required to interact with patients, health professionals, other service providers and families essential Good attendance record required
