Role SummaryThe Carpenter position is a full time regular position on our construction site. This position reports to the BlueCity Construction Site Superintendent and works closely alongside other team members in a collaborative manner. All work performed must comply within BlueCity's high quality standards of quality workmanship. BlueCity employees all work to ensure their work is done in a safe and timely manner.Key AccountabilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Must have knowledge of plan reading, layout, concrete formwork, framing, steel stud, window and door install, siding, roofing, drywall, minor electrical and minor mechanicalAbility to operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipmentResponsible to anticipate issues related to quality, safety, deadlines and proactively communicate them to the Carpenter ForemanKnowledgeable of other trade disciplines and have a good understanding of the processes on a construction siteMaintain understanding and ensure compliance with BlueCity's safety programPerform other related duties as requiredEducation & ExperienceMinimum High School diploma or equivalent.



Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience of carpentry or hands on construction experience in the industry. Ability to work with hand and power carpentry tools and other construction equipment. Level 2 First Aid an asset. Ability to maintain a positive professional attitude and work in a fast paced workplace. Experience in large projects would be an asset.
