Registered Psychotherapist (RP) – Private Practice Opportunity

Peace of Mind CBT Therapy | Downtown Burlington, Ontario

Peace of Mind CBT Therapy is looking for an experienced Registered Psychotherapist (RP) to join our growing team in downtown Burlington.

We are seeking a seasoned, trauma-informed clinician who values excellent client care and would like to grow their private practice within an established and supportive clinical environment.

This opportunity may be particularly well suited to an experienced therapist who wants the independence of private practice while benefiting from ongoing client referrals, a beautiful furnished office space, professional collaboration, and connection with an established practice and clinical team.

About Peace of Mind

Peace of Mind CBT Therapy is a trauma-informed psychotherapy practice providing services to adults experiencing PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, occupational stress, grief, relationship concerns, and other complex mental health challenges.

Our practice has developed a particular area of expertise working with first responders and individuals exposed to occupational, critical-incident, and cumulative trauma, while also supporting a diverse adult client population.

Who We Are Looking For

Our ideal clinician

- Is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
- Has approximately 10+ years of psychotherapy or mental health experience preferred
- Has significant experience providing trauma-informed psychotherapy
- Is comfortable working with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, occupational stress, and complex clinical presentations




- Demonstrates solid clinical judgment, professional boundaries, ethical practice, and documentation skills
- Is comfortable practising independently while valuing consultation and collaboration
- Is looking to establish or expand a private-practice caseload
- Values warmth, authenticity, professionalism, and excellent client care

Experience working with first responders, police, firefighters, paramedics, military personnel, corrections, healthcare professionals, or other occupational-trauma populations would be a strong asset. Training and experience in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, CPT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, or other recognized trauma-focused therapies would also be an asset.

Private Practice & Office Rental Arrangement This is an independent private-practice opportunity and not a salaried employment position.

The successful clinician will enter into a written professional agreement with Peace of Mind CBT Therapy that includes an office rental arrangement for use of our furnished clinical space.

Our goal is to provide an setting where an experienced therapist can focus on what they do best — providing excellent clinical care — while having access to professional space, referrals, collaboration, and the benefits of being connected with the Peace of Mind team.

Specific rental arrangements, office availability, scheduling options, and terms of the agreement will be discussed with selected candidates during the interview process.
