This is a hands‐on development role on large, business‐critical mainframe systems, and it suits someone with a deep COBOL background who is comfortable owning design through to production support.What you will be doingDesign, develop and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL and DB2Work across IMS DB/DC and VSAM data structures, including file and database designWrite, unit test and debug programs, and support automated testing on the mainframeTroubleshoot production issues, tune performance and maintain existing systemsBuild and support XML based interfaces and Tibco integrationsDevelop and maintain SAS programs and applications where requiredPartner with business analysts,



QA and downstream teams through the full delivery cycleWhat we are looking for10+ years of hands‐on mainframe development experienceStrong COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM and TSOIMS DB/DC experienceMainframe application design experience, not just maintenanceSAS and SAS application developmentXML and TibcoAutomation testing on mainframeSolid debugging skills and the ability to work independently in a large, established codebaseNice to haveFinancial services or banking domain experienceExperience modernizing or interfacing mainframe systems with distributed platformsThe detailsLocation: Toronto, ON.
