About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Moncton, NB. This is a 15-month contract, in office position, reporting directly to the HR Manager, and provides day‐to‐day support across all core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, immigration support, and internal communications. The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting managers and employees, ensuring smooth HR operations, and contributing to a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace culture.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & OnboardingCoordinate job postings, resume screening, interviews, and selection processesManage onboarding activities, including orientations, documentation, and system accessSupport workforce planning initiatives, career events, and student plant toursEmployee RelationsAct as a point of contact for employee questions and concernsSupport managers with performance management, attendance, and conflict resolutionAssist foreign workers with immigration‐related processesConduct exit interviews and track turnover metricsHR Administration & ComplianceMaintain accurate and confidential employee recordsAct as a super user (SU) of the HR systemEnsure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and regulatory requirementsSupport audits,
reporting, and documentation needsTraining & DevelopmentSupport the implementation and tracking of training and development programsMonitor training completion and effectivenessPerformance ManagementAssist with performance review cycles, goal tracking, and feedback processesSupport talent development and succession planning initiativesHR Projects & CommunicationParticipate in HR initiatives such as employee engagement, wellness, diversity & inclusion, and policy updatesMaintain and update internal communications (digital monitors, noticeboards, communication plans) to ensure timely and consistent messagingQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a multi‐functional HR roleStrong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and HR systems (HRIS, ATS)Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsProven ability to handle sensitive and confidential informationProactive, detail‐oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesKey CompetenciesProblem-solving and conflict resolutionTime management and prioritizationAdaptability and teamworkAttention to detail and accuracyStrong customer service orientation
