NORWEST CO-OP COMMUNITY HEALTH JOB POSTING 2026Finance Clerk (Accounts Payable)Permanent Position | 1.0 EFT (full time)Department: FinancePosition: Finance Clerk (Accounts Payable)Responsible To: Director of FinanceAnticipated Start Date: As soon as possibleHourly Rate: $23.665- $26.568Union: CUPEAnticipated Shift: DaysPosition Summary: NorWest Co-op Community Health is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Clerk to join our Finance Department. The Finance Clerk will be responsible for providing accounting and accounts payable support, processing financial transactions, assisting with monthly and year-end financial activities, and maintaining accurate financial records.The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Finance team to ensure financial information is processed accurately and in a timely manner, respond to requests for accounting information professionally, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess all aspects of Accounts Payable including vendor, contractor, and employee reimbursementsPrepare and process cheques and obtain appropriate signatures in accordance with NorWest policies and proceduresAssist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and financial reports, including cash receipt reports and other financial entriesAssist the Finance Department with year-end preparation and the annual audit processWork collaboratively with the Finance Department to ensure finance-related tasks are completed accurately and within established deadlinesMaintain accurate,
complete and up-to-date financial filesRespond to requests for accounting and financial information in a timely and professional mannerProvide backup support to other Finance functions as requiredPrepare Accounts Receivable as requiredPerform other duties as assigned Education:College diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll and/or Business Administration requiredPost-secondary education in Accounting and/or Finance considered an assetA combination of education and relevant experience may be consideredMinimum 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting or a related finance roleFamiliarity with MS OfficeExperience working in a non-profit and/or community health setting considered an assetKnowledge of Great Plains Dynamics accounting software and Management Reporter considered an assetKnowledge of PayWorks considered an assetExperience with payroll & benefits administration considered an assetKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and ethical business practicesAbility to process transactions using computerized accounting software and prepare financial reportsStrong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsExcellent computer skills and ability to learn and use new financial systemsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial informationAbility to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externallyGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlinesAbility to monitor progress and accurately track financial information and activitiesAbility to work independently, take initiative and exercise sound judgmentAbility to work collaboratively as part of a teamAbility to maintain confidentiality of financial and organizational informationRupsi Parajuli, HR AssistantNorWest Co-op Community HealthEmail:
