based on experience and water/wastewater certification level.Location:This position will travel throughout the Oshawa - Cobourg area (east of Toronto, west of Peterborough).Roles and responsibilities will include:Monitoring treatment processes, including screening, aeration, clarification, disinfection, and lagoon systemsSampling water and wastewater, as well as performing onsite process analysisPerforming common dosing calculations, setting dosing rates, and monitoring to ensure the desired dosing rate is achievedInspecting, servicing, and repairing components of the treatment plants, including but not limited to intakes, conveyance equipment, chemical treatment equipment, and control systemsAssisting in the execution of the Envirosearch preventative maintenance programSupervising subcontractors to support site operationsCompleting log and work order reports using electronic communicationsRecommending the purchase of goods and equipmentCommunicating changes in site conditionsDemonstrating advanced understanding of safety, including consistent identification of hazards, implementing risk abatement strategies and where necessary, selection of personal protective equipmentResponding to emergency calls and be available during duty periodsContributing towards achieving desired Quality Control & Quality Assurance goalsPerforming other duties as requiredMinimum Qualifications:MECP Water and Sewage licenses (issued by OWWCO).
