Hays is partnering with an established residential owner-operator to recruit a Resident Manager in Greater Victoria. This is a great opportunity to join a stable and supportive organization where you will take ownership of a residential building, combining resident relations, leasing and day-to-day building operations.
Your new role
As the live-in Resident Manager, you will be a key point of contact for residents and help oversee the day-to-day operation of the property. This is a varied, hands-on position with responsibilities including:
- Providing excellent service and support to residents
- Showing suites and supporting leasing and renewals
- Collecting rent and following up on outstanding payments
- Completing suite and property inspections
- Coordinating contractors and scheduled work
- Handling general property administration and documentation
- Supporting light maintenance, cleaning and touch-up painting as required
- Taking ownership of resident inquiries and resolving issues
You will work alongside an established team with additional maintenance,
cleaning and landscaping support available. What you'll need to succeed
- 2+ years of building management experience
- Property management or residential leasing experience is an asset
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
- Flexible to work a rotating schedule, including alternating weekends
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to live onsite
What you'll get in return You will receive a salary of $55,000–$63,000 depending on experience, alongside a significant rental discount. The wider package includes health and dental perks, an RRSP program, wellness benefits, 2 weeks' vacation and comprehensive training.
