Overview

We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented technician to complete finishing work, correct deficiencies identified during inspections and prepare apartment units and, where applicable, townhomes for final handover and occupancy.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in an active multi-residential environment and takes pride in clean, precise work. You will handle a varied mix of finishing and repair work, including finish carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, flooring, minor fixture work and general repairs across apartment units with different layouts and materials. Your craftsmanship will directly affect the quality, appearance and readiness of each unit.

Duties

- Complete deficiency items identified during unit and building inspections and support unit turnovers, ensuring work meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Perform detailed interior finishing, including drywall installation and repair, patching, sanding, caulking, painting and final touch-ups.
- Complete finish carpentry and minor framing adjustments, including trim, baseboards, doors, hardware, shelving and cabinetry repairs.
- Install, repair or replace flooring, tile and grout, including hardwood, laminate and other common residential finishes.
- Complete minor fixture installation, adjustments and basic plumbing repairs within the scope of the role, and promptly report work requiring a licensed trade.
- Read and interpret deficiency lists, blueprints, schematics and construction plans to complete work accurately.
- Restore damaged finishes and materials so completed areas meet the expected appearance and function.




- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently for carpentry, finishing, installation and repair work.
- Review deficiency lists, prioritize assigned work and meet established deadlines.
- Track completed, outstanding and follow-up items accurately and communicate progress clearly.
- Protect finished surfaces and surrounding areas while keeping the worksite clean, organized and safe.
- Follow safety procedures when handling drywall compounds, paints, adhesives and other construction materials.

What You Bring

- Proven experience in residential construction, renovation, finishing or property maintenance.
- Robust finish carpentry skills and practical experience with drywall installation and repair, painting, tile and flooring.
- The ability to operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, hammers, trowels, caulking guns and wrenches.
- The ability to read and work from inspection reports, deficiency lists, blueprints, schematics and construction plans.
- Basic plumbing skills for minor fixture installation, adjustments or repairs.
- Knowledge of restoration techniques and residential painting and finishing processes.
- Welding experience is an asset but is not required.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

No two days are exactly alike. You will apply a broad range of skills across apartment units, occasional townhome work, renovation projects and varied repair requirements. This position is well suited to someone who notices the small details, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment and takes satisfaction in leaving each unit professionally finished and ready for occupancy.
