This role is critical to the success of our projects and requires precision, awareness, and a strong commitment to safety. We are recruiting for this position with an estimated project start date of mid-September.What You'll Be DoingOperate graders and other heavy equipment safely and accurately to meet project specificationsWork collaboratively within a team environment to operate equipment including Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Graders, and Haul TrucksMaintain constant awareness in busy, fast-paced work environments and identify potential hazards before they become problemsInterpret verbal and non-verbal communication, including hand signals, from operators, ground personnel, and labourersConduct daily equipment inspections, complete logbooks, and perform minor maintenance, adjustments, lubrication, and housekeeping within your skillsetComplete daily track cleaning at the end of each shiftIdentify hazards by completing field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs)



and participating in pre-job hazard analysisEnsure daily submission of FLHAs and timecardsFollow all MacKay safety policies, procedures, and best practicesBe versatile with hours and willing to support project needsPerform additional duties as assignedWhat You BringExperience operating a Grader in civil construction or equivalent environmentsKnowledge of construction layout and stakingExperience with 3D machine control is an assetAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly and safelyA valid, clean Driver's AbstractValid government-issued photo IDWhat's In It for YouThis role is based out of Sparwood, B.C., working a 7 x 7 shift rotation.
