Shift: Monday–Friday (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) On-Call: Must be available for emergency on-call support as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysWe are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Operator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you'll support building maintenance and ammonia refrigeration systems. In this role, you'll perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on facility equipment, while following all safety and regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility structuresAssist with inspections and maintenance of refrigeration systems (ammonia)Conduct routine maintenance on material handling equipment per guidelinesOperate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and motorized lifts safelySupport troubleshooting and problem-solving to maintain smooth operationsFollow all company and regulatory safety proceduresOther tasks as assignedQualificationsMaintenance experience preferredRefrigeration Ice Plant Operator certification required; 4th Class Power Engineer certification preferredHands-on experience with ice plant operations and/or ammonia refrigeration requiredConduct inspections and maintain detailed records in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Trade school courses or experience in building, material handling, or refrigeration maintenance an assetPerform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, motors, and pumpsTroubleshoot and repair electrical components and wiring to keep operations running efficientlyFully proficient with,



and capable of operating power and hand toolsBasic computer skills for reporting and documentationStrong communication and organizational skills; able to multi-task and prioritizeAbility to work in cold storage environments (-20°F/-25°C) and warm dry storage (up to 100°F/37°C) with provided PPEMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbsAbility to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if neededSome locations require being comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loudSome locations require demonstrated knowledge and practice of Working at Height Basic electrical instrumentation experience Basic ability to read and interpret P&ID may be required at some facilities Relevant experience in refrigeration and a building/warehouse maintenance environment Skyjack/ Articulated boom lift qualification (considered an asset and training is offered) Ability to perform manual work and sometimes physically demanding Strong mutual aid and consultation skills as well as an excellent ability to work in a team and to communicate Good ability to manage time and priorities Proficiency Microsoft office and Outlook Work alongside contractors when needed to ensure safe and compliant system maintenance Experience with plumbing, Drywalling, painting,
