We are currently hiring a permanent Full-Time Sales Assistant to join our growing team!

We are a busy children’s boutique carrying baby + kids clothing, footwear, toys, gifts, etc. We are looking for someone who is mature, reliable, hardworking, friendly, and confident working in a fast-paced retail environment.

This position is ideal for someone who has flexible availability, enjoys customer service, takes initiative, stays organized, and works well independently while also being part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services within the store
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage cashiering duties including cash handling, processing transactions via POS systems, and issuing receipts
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and properly labeled
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering personalized recommendations
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising tasks
- Uphold store cleanliness and adhere to safety standards at all times
- Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with diverse customers and team members
- Manage time efficiently to handle multiple customers during busy periods while maintaining quality service
- Assist with social media content when needed

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or related fields is preferred




- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and sales calculations
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a passion for providing outstanding customer service
- Flexible availability required - Must be able to work day shifts, evening shifts and weekends

Position Requirements:

- Permanent Part time or Full-Time
- Approximately 30–40 hours per week
- Must be available weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to work at both Bayer's Lake and Sunnyside Mall locations is an asset
