WMG located in Windsor, ON is looking for Account Manager to join a growing organization.

Type of Employment: Full time, permanent

Schedule: Days, Full Time Hours, Monday to Friday

Job Summary The Account Manager is responsible for the commercial management, development, and long-term growth of an assigned portfolio of automotive OEM and Tier customer accounts, serving as the primary commercial point of contact between the customer and Windsor Machine Group.

This includes identifying recent business opportunities, coordinating RFQs and quotations, negotiating commercial terms, supporting engineering and program changes, resolving commercial issues, and working closely with Corporate Sales Administration, Engineering, Program Management, Finance, and manufacturing facilities to retain existing business, secure new business, and support sustainable account growth.

Job Duties:

1. Customer Account Ownership & Relationship Management

- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned OEM and Tier accounts, managing all related commercial matters and developing strong relationships with customer purchasing, engineering, program management, finance, and executive stakeholders.
- Represent Windsor Machine Group professionally in customer meetings, business reviews, negotiations, plant visits, and industry events, including domestic and international travel and customer entertainment as appropriate.
- Serve as an escalation point for significant customer or commercial issues, ensuring concerns are acknowledged, assigned, and resolved appropriately.

2. Business Development & Account Growth

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and with prospective customers, consistent with company capabilities and strategic objectives.
- Maintain a pipeline of active and potential business, follow up on quotations and sourcing decisions, develop account growth strategies, and forecast/track account-level revenue and awarded business for management review.

3. RFQ, Quotation & Commercial Negotiation

- Lead the commercial coordination of customer RFQs, working with Engineering, Program Management, Finance, and Sales Administration to develop, review, and submit quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, annual reductions, LTAs, TVMs, tooling, and other customer commercial requirements, coordinating strategy with Sales Management.
- Review and resolve escalated pricing or Purchase Order discrepancies,



protecting approved commercial terms and escalating unauthorized customer deductions.

4. Program & Engineering Change Management

- Evaluate the commercial impact of engineering changes, program launches, and volume, design, or tooling modifications, participating in CR/CA/CN/CCR processes as applicable.
- Ensure customer approval and commercial documentation are obtained before implementation of changes involving additional cost, and support commercial resolution of launch-related issues.

5. Production Account & Commercial Risk Management

- Maintain oversight of commercial matters on active production programs, resolving customer deductions, disputed pricing, and significant financial issues.
- Identify and escalate risks to profitability resulting from customer or program changes, and coordinate recovery strategies for customer-driven costs.
- Lead or coordinate resolution of high-severity customer issues, ensuring commitments are documented and communicated internally.

6. Documentation, Portals, Reporting & Presentations

- Maintain accurate commercial documentation and records for assigned accounts, and use OEM/Tier customer portals to manage sourcing, RFQs, and account requirements.
- Develop and deliver customer and executive presentations, including business reviews, program status updates, and commercial proposals.

7. Cross-Functional Coordination & Support

- Serve as the primary commercial liaison between customers and internal departments (Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Quality, Operations, Manufacturing), communicating priorities and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Work closely with Corporate Sales Administration, providing commercial direction and supporting escalated PO, pricing, or documentation issues.
- Participate in weekly Sales/CCR meetings and annual/strategic sales planning, and support special projects and other Account Managers as needed.

Knowledge and Education:

- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in Account Management, Sales, Business Development, Commercial Management,



or a related customer-facing role.
- Automotive OEM and/or Tier supplier experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing complex automotive customer accounts and programs.
- Experience with RFQs, quotations, pricing, sourcing, negotiations, and commercial agreements.
- Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and program lifecycles.
- Ability to understand technical and engineering concepts sufficiently to manage the commercial aspects of customer requirements.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence effectively at multiple organizational levels.
- Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent presentation, listening, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs, customers, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience using automotive OEM and Tier customer portals preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced automotive environment.
- Valid driver's license and passport. Ability to travel to USA and Mexico.

Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
