With over 4,200 employees and over 30 global manufacturing brands, AGI is a leading provider of equipment and technology solutions for agricultural commodities including seed, fertilizer, grain and feed systems and an expanding platform for food processing facilities.The OpportunityThe role is responsible for using hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products including galvanized, stainless, and raw steel.The TeamThe role will report to the Production Supervisor.ResponsibilitiesWeld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work order actions, or verbal instructions ensuring that tolerances are metClean work area and equipment, grind or chip excess metal from welded productsInspect and correct welds as necessary to meet quality specificationsRead, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work ordersComplete mechanical installation of bolted assemblesEnsure equipment and tools are in good working condition, reporting maintenance services when requiredComplete tasks while adhering to Health and Safety policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned by the department supervisorQualifications1-2 years of welding experienceManufacturing experience is an assetAbility and interest to gain CWB certificationAble to lift and maneuver 50 pounds repeatedlyAbility to work within confined spacesFamiliarity with the use of Jigs & fixturesAble to work in fast paced workplace standing for long periods of timeAttention to detail, problem solving (basic mechanical and mathematical aptitude) and communication skillsAbility to read, understand and follow blueprints and welding symbolsWhy AGI?We're leading the way in global food supply chain solutions and here's how:We're the leading global expert in providing farmers, processors and commercial customers with the right equipment and customized engineering solutions to produce, protect and deliver the world's grain, fertilizer, seed, feed and food supplies.
