Carleton Dining Services would love to have you on our team! We are hiring full-time Pastry Cooks to join our team at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall on Carleton University campus. Our Pastry Cooks are responsible for preparing a broad range of high-quality baked goods in an open kitchen environment.

About The Job

Assist with pastry preparation and baking duties under supervision of the Chef

Ensure consistent quality, preparation, and presentation of food

Assist with recipe-based baking and food preparation

Provide excellent customer service

Assist with controlling waste and spoilageAssist with culinary auditing, and food safety measures

Assist with weekly inventory

Maintain continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area

Ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures

May perform other job duties as required

About You

Culinary education,



or equivalent working experience

Experience in Culinary field with a focus in Pastry

Excellent communication skills

Ability to prioritize tasks

Problem solving

Planning and organizing skills

Enjoy working with others in a team setting

The selected candidate for this position will need to complete and successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.
