Ellos HR Solutions is recruiting an experienced Procurement Specialist / Buyer for a well established manufacturing organization in Cambridge.For this search, automotive experience is NOT required.The most important requirement is very specific:You must have hands on experience purchasing COLD ROLLED STEEL from North American steel suppliers, particularly suppliers located in Canada and the United States.Source and purchase cold rolled steel from Canadian and U.S. suppliersNegotiate steel pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, lead times and delivery schedulesManage supplier relationships and evaluate opportunities for cost reduction and improved commercial termsMonitor steel requirements, purchase orders, releases and incoming material to support uninterrupted manufacturing operationsSupport purchasing activities involving MRO materials, specialized tooling and other manufacturing requirementsWork closely with Operations, Engineering and other internal departments to understand material requirements and purchasing prioritiesManage purchasing activities through the ERP system, with Plex experience considered an assetSupport supplier development, long term agreements and cost improvement initiativesWhat We're Looking ForMUST HAVE:
