This role combines hands‐on flight operations with strategic involvement in safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and project management. The ideal candidate will bring both technical flying expertise and a broader understanding of the drone industry landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesFlight OperationsConduct advanced RPAS operations using various aircraft platforms, primarily DJI systemsPlan and execute complex flight missions while maintaining the highest safety standardsPerform pre‐flight inspections, risk assessments, and post‐flight documentationOperate in diverse environments and weather conditions within regulatory guidelinesSafety & Regulatory ComplianceDevelop and maintain safety management systems and standard operating proceduresEnsure all operations comply with Transport Canada regulations and industry best practicesConduct safety briefings and risk assessments for flight operationsStay current with evolving RPAS regulations and industry standardsProject ManagementLead and coordinate multi‐phase RPAS projects from planning through executionCollaborate with cross‐functional teams to deliver client solutionsManage project timelines, resources, and deliverablesProvide technical expertise and recommendations to stakeholdersTeam CollaborationWork closely with our in‐office team on project development and strategyMentor junior pilots and support team skill developmentContribute to business development and client relationship managementSupport training program development and implementationRequired Qualifications Certifications & ExperienceValid Transport Canada Advanced RPAS Pilot CertificateMinimum 50 hours documented flight time on DJI platforms (Mavic, Phantom, Matrice series, etc.)Demonstrated experience with various RPAS platforms and payloadsClean flight record with strong safety performance historyTechnical SkillsProficiency with flight planning software and mission management systemsUnderstanding of airspace regulations, NOTAMs, and flight authorization processesExperience with data collection, processing, and analysis workflowsKnowledge of RPAS maintenance and troubleshooting proceduresProfessional CompetenciesStrong project management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent projectsExcellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaborationProblem‐solving mindset with attention to detail and safety‐first approachAbility to work independently while maintaining team integrationPreferred Qualifications Industry ExperienceBackground in commercial drone operations (surveying, inspection, mapping, etc.)Experience with specialized payloads (LiDAR, thermal imaging,
