Your OpportunityWe are seeking an Intermediate CAD Technician (Water Resources) to join our Ontario Environmental Services team. You will be part of the Water Resources Technical Team within Stantec's Environmental Services Business Line.Your Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare CAD drawings and design packages for water resources and hydrotechnical projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3DInterpret engineering markups, sketches and translate them into accurate drawing deliverablesDevelop and edit surfaces, profiles, cross-sections, and plan/profile drawings for riverine, coastal, and other water management projectsPrepare grading plans, erosion and sediment control drawings, and as-built/redline updates as part of project design deliverablesSupport drawing production for culverts, channel works, bank stabilization, shoreline protection, stormwater, municipal drainage, and mining/water management projectsPerform primarily office-based work, with regular collaboration across project teamsCapabilities and CredentialsAbility to work independently and deliver high-quality drafting workConsistent attention to detailThorough understanding of civil drafting and design documentation, with the ability to build surfaces, profiles, and cross-sectionsFamiliarity with river works, coastal and shoreline infrastructure, stormwater and municipal drainage, and mining/water management projectsBasic understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and drainage principles.Good verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and able to work effectively in a team workplace while managing multiple prioritiesArcGIS experience is an assetEducation and ExperienceDiploma in Civil Engineering Technology or similarOACETT certification (C.Tech. or C.E.T.) is an assetMinimum 5 years of AutoCAD and Civil 3D experienceExperience preparing drawings for water resources, hydrotechnical, drainage,



or civil infrastructure projectsExperience in a consulting environment is preferredExperience with HEC-RAS mapping is an assetTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.Compensation and BenefitsPay Range: Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario-$72,300.00 - $104,800.00 AnnuallyPay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
