About the RoleThe Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Program provides a long-term, affordable housing solution with flexible and voluntary support services offered to support high-acuity individuals who are homeless with housing retention and independent living.This program is provided through multi-agency collaborations to support individuals living in the PSH building who are dealing with significant substance use and mental health issues (as well as other complexities) to gain housing stability and enhance their quality of life by providing housing, practical support, counselling, advocacy, landlord mediation, and eviction prevention.The Peer Supporter will provide key peer support services to tenants and will play a vital role as a member of our multi-disciplinary teams by offering a range of practical and emotional support from the perspective of their lived experience, embodying a sense of hope and possibility for the future.Role TypeFull time, PermanentHours of WorkFull Time Afternoons - 1 Vacancy:Afternoons (1pm-11pm)Hours are scheduled on a two (2) week rotational basis which includes working every second weekend, and occasional holidays (Statutory holidays)Participation in an on call rotation is a requirement of this role, in addition to the regular hours of workWhy Work for Stonehenge?Enhanced vacation offered to all staffPaid wellness daysRRSP Matching IncentiveHealth and dental benefits (no employee co-pay)Employee and Family Assistance Plan available to all staffEnhanced compensation when working overnight hoursPersonal and professional development opportunitiesQualificationsLived experience of substance use disorder and recovery required (mental health recovery an asset)Post-secondary education in addictions,
