Intermediate AccountantFull-Time, On-siteVancouver, BCReference Number: CAN-BC-NO-134-130826SUMMARYReporting to the Division Controller, the Intermediate Accountant is responsible for full cycle accounting, account reconciliations, quarter end and year end reports, and a variety of accounting related tasks.EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONSPrepare monthly journal entries, month end reports, and monthly variance analysisPrepare monthly bank reconciliationsPrepare and maintain fixed assets continuity schedule and fixed asset ERP systemAnalyze and reconcile vendor rebates, insurance, and property taxesAssist with month-end close under tight reporting deadlinesAssist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS along with supporting schedulesPrepare quarterly and annual account reconciliationsAssist with preparation of month-end financial package by consolidating data from internal sourcesVerify general ledger coding and approvalsComplete relevant external surveys and reporting to third parties, such as lenders and Statistics CanadaMaintain Finance department filing systemSupport as required for corporate accounting, internal audit, and external auditorsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESDemonstrated advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, such as Power Query, Power Pivot, or similarExperience with a Tier 1 ERP accounting softwareExcellent organizational skills, with the ability to work under tight reporting deadlinesSuperior accuracy with meticulous attention to detailsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage conflicting deadlines and multiple demands at onceAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management,

The base pay offered is based on geographical location and may vary depending on the applicant's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Similar positions located in other geographical locations may not necessarily receive the same salary range.
