Job Description

The Canal District is looking for dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwashers / Kitchen Attendants to join our culinary team. This is an important behind-the-scenes role that helps keep our kitchens clean, organized, and running efficiently during restaurant service, weddings, banquets, and special events.

Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area
Assist with general kitchen cleaning and sanitation
Remove garbage and recycling and maintain waste areas
Keep floors, work areas, and storage spaces clean and safe
Restock clean dishes, cookware, and kitchen supplies
Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and other duties as required




Support opening and closing kitchen procedures
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks, servers, and other team members

Required Skills
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset, but not required
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
Comfortable working in a rapid-paced kitchen workplace
Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
Must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Food Handler Certification is an asset
