Fine Dining Bartender - Seasonal (Winter 2026/27)Job Category: Hospitality - Food and BeverageRequisition Number: FINED001591Posted : September 14, 2026Full-TimeOn-siteLocationsShowing 1 locationBig White Ski ResortKelowna, BC V1P1P3, CANDescriptionPosition Title: Winter Seasonal Fine Dining BartenderReports to: Restaurant Supervisor / Restaurant ManagerWage: $19/phPosition: Seasonal Contract November – Early April / Hourly PositionPosition Overview:The Winter Seasonal Fine Dining Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of specialty cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional guest service in a lively, fast-paced mountain resort environment. Bartenders are expected to uphold high standards of service, cleanliness, accuracy and hospitality while managing bar flow efficiently and safely during high-volume service.Experience and Requirements:Minimum of 5+ years bartending experience in a busy restaurant or bar setting.In-depth knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine and spirits. WSET is an asset.Confident in high-volume drink preparation and multitasking under pressure.Ability to upsell products and provide knowledgeable recommendations.Ability to serve in a fine dining settingComfortable using POS systems (Toast or similar).Must be at least 19 years of age.Valid Serving It Right Certificate required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience of creating new drink menu items such as feature cocktails.Previous experience in a resort or seasonal setting is an asset.Knowledge of BC liquor laws and safe alcohol service best practices.Experience setting up and closing down a bar independently.Key Responsibilities but not limited to:Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer and specialty drinks with consistency and speed.Greet and interact with guests warmly while managing the bar environment.Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked bar throughout service.Follow BC's liquor service laws and internal safety policies at all times.Check IDs and monitor guest consumption to prevent over-service.Assist servers with drink orders and coordinate service with the floor team.Restock garnishes, glassware, mixers and alcohol as needed.Process payments accurately and balance cash-out at end of shift.Maintain professionalism and hospitality even during peak service periods.Participate in opening, closing and deep cleaning duties.Working Conditions:Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.Ability to remain on feet for long periods during quick-paced shifts.Must be able to lift 25lbs and perform tasks such as keg changes, bar restocking and repetitive motions.Exposure to varying pace of service and assisting with Events.Additional Skills:Strong product knowledge and passion for mixology and bar service.Energetic, approachable and calm under pressure.Exceptional multitasking and time management abilities.High attention to detail in drink presentation, cleanliness and guest interaction.Collaborative team player with leadership potential.Familiarity with Okanagan wines, local spirits and regional beers is a plus.
