Cold Lake is a city in northeastern Alberta, Canada and is named after the lake nearby. Named after the Cree legend of Kinosoo, Kinosoo Beach in the Town of Cold Lake was voted one of Canada's Top 25 Beaches in 2008 by Canadian Geographic Magazine. The water is clear and shallow in marked swimming area which makes the beach popular with families.Cold Lake is situated near many campgrounds due to its proximity to the lake.
