Reporting to the Property Manager, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety and overall condition of a residential property, including common areas, building grounds and surrounding areas. You will perform routine cleaning, groundskeeping, seasonal upkeep and minor maintenance while monitoring property conditions and responding to resident needs and concerns. Through consistent property upkeep, responsive service and safe work practices, Building Caretakers ensure Northview's properties are clean, well-maintained and welcoming for residents.Responsibilities:Maintain clean, protected, and well-presented common areas, entrances, exits, hallways, stairwells, elevators, common rooms, and other shared spacesClean and maintain floors, windows, walls, fixtures, and other common area surfaces using appropriate cleaning methods, equipment, and productsMaintain building grounds, including landscaped areas, sidewalks, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding propertyComplete seasonal groundskeeping and property upkeep, including gardening, mowing, weeding, litter and debris removal, snow removal, and salting as requiredMonitor common areas, grounds, and building conditions and promptly identify and report maintenance, safety, cleanliness, or property concerns requiring follow-upPerform minor maintenance and basic property upkeep tasks as required and within the scope of the role,



escalating repairs requiring specialized knowledge or tradesAssist with the preparation and upkeep of vacant suites and common areas as requiredRespond to resident questions, concerns, and requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner, escalating issues as appropriateMaintain positive resident relations by providing consistent and helpful customer service and contributing to a welcoming and well-maintained living environmentAssist with the delivery and posting of resident notices and other building communications where requiredMaintain cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment in a safe and orderly condition and communicate replenishment or repair needsEnsure all work is performed safely and in accordance with Northview's Health and Safety requirements and internal HSE policies and proceduresQualifications & Experience:Previous experience in building caretaking, janitorial, cleaning, groundskeeping, property maintenance, or a related field an assetExperience working in residential, commercial, multi-unit housing, or other property environments an assetExperience performing general cleaning, building upkeep, grounds maintenance, and minor maintenance tasksExperience providing customer service and interacting professionally with residents, tenants, contractors, and coworkersExperience safely using cleaning products, basic tools, and property maintenance equipmentKnowledge of safe cleaning practices,
