The Senior Youth and Cultural Support Worker support the development and facilitation of customized programming for youth.DescriptionLocation: 2335 30 th AvenueNEPosition Type: Full timeHours: 37.5 hours perweek(including evenings and weekends)Program: Family Resource NetworkPosition Summary:Miskanawah is an Indigenous agency that draws jointly from the strengths and guidance of Indigenous teachings and traditions and evidence-based practices in human services, to support vulnerable children, youth and families.Working in close partnership with the Diamond Willow Youth Lodge team, the Senior Youth and Cultural Support Worker supports the development and facilitation of customized programming for youth. This position provides leadership by modeling best practices, supporting staff through difficult or complex situations, and ensuring daily operations are carried out effectively and in a timely manner.Responsibilities:Act as a role model for both staff and youthRespect, advocate and protect the rights of youthAcquire resources needed to enhance and improve program deliveryProvide education and strategies to youth through multiple mediumsProvide referrals and support for youth to access other programs and servicesCreate and facilitate youth led programs and activitiesEnsure daily, weekly, and monthly structured documentation is completed in a timely and skilled manner to support program planning, reporting, and evaluationMentor and guide the team in communication with youth and familiesMentor and support the team in addressing issues, challenges, or concernsSeek out learning opportunities for the team to help strengthen team capacitySupport the team in skill development while serving as a knowledgeable resourceConnect with Elder's, Knowledge Holders to support the planning and facilitation of programs and activitiesProvide timely and clear communication and direction, and delegate tasks appropriately to support coordinated team efforts.Serve as a source of support, inspiration,
