Location: Remote (minimum 4 hours daily overlap with Eastern Time)
Employment Type: Full-time contract
Hours: 40 hours/week minimum, plus 24/7 availability for ad rejections, launches, BFCM, and account emergencies
Compensation: $5,000 USD/month base plus performance bonuses tied to contribution margin (roughly $100,000 to $250,000 USD/year total)
We are a fast-growing, data-driven e-commerce company with an eight-figure annual ad budget, hiring a Senior Media Buyer to own paid acquisition across Meta, Snapchat, and AppLovin.
We want one of the best media buyers in e-commerce: someone who has scaled accounts most buyers never touch and can prove it with numbers. This is not a role where you set up campaigns and wait for someone else to interpret them. You plan budgets, structure accounts, run disciplined creative tests, read attribution honestly, and scale spend without breaking profitability.
You will start on our flagship brand. As we add brands, you take the same system to each one, so everything you build must be documented and repeatable.
What You'll Do
Own Paid Acquisition on Meta, Snapchat, and AppLovin: plan, launch, and scale campaigns on each, with Meta as the primary growth engine.
Run the Creative Testing Engine: maintain a structured testing calendar across hooks, angles, formats, avatars, and offers, with a hypothesis, budget, and kill/scale rule for every test.
Scale Winners Without Breaking Efficiency: move budget into proven creative and structures, manage frequency and fatigue, and protect margin as spend grows.
Manage Budgets and Pacing: allocate spend daily against targets for new-customer CAC and contribution margin, not platform ROAS alone.
Read Attribution Honestly: use platform data for creative decisions, and Triple Whale, MER, and incrementality tests (geo-holdouts, conversion lift) to judge what spend actually adds.
Expand Internationally: take proven campaigns into new countries, including rest-of-world campaigns on AppLovin, with localized creative and offers.
Protect Account Health: keep accounts, pages, and pixels compliant with platform policies, especially health and fitness claims, and resolve rejections and restrictions the moment they hit.
Be On Call When It Matters: respond at any hour, including nights, weekends, and holidays, when spend spikes, ads are disapproved, accounts are restricted, or tracking breaks.
Surf-Scale Through BFCM: within a pre-approved budget range, manage spend hour by hour from Black Friday through Cyber Monday, including overnight checks when needed.
Brief the Creative Team: turn performance data into clear briefs on what is winning, why, and what to make next.
Write the Playbook: document account structures, testing rules, naming conventions,
and launch SOPs so the system can be replicated on every brand we add.
Respect Approval Gates: new launches, new channels, and budget changes above agreed thresholds go through sign-off before they go live.
Report Clearly: deliver a weekly readout covering spend, new-customer CAC, contribution margin, creative wins and losses, tests running, and next week's plan.
Work Across the Funnel: coordinate with the partner agency that runs Google, our CRO specialist, and our retention team so ads, landing pages, and offers stay aligned.
Our Paid Media Stack
You do not need deep expertise in every tool, but familiarity is preferred.
Ad Platforms: Meta Ads Manager (Advantage+ and manual structures), Snapchat Ads Manager, AppLovin Axon. Google and YouTube run through a partner agency.
Attribution and Analytics: Triple Whale, Shopify Analytics, GA4, Google Sheets, Looker Studio.
Measurement: MER and contribution-margin reporting, geo-holdout tests, platform conversion-lift studies.
Tracking: Meta Pixel and Conversions API, Snap Pixel and Conversions API, server-side event tracking.
E-Commerce: Shopify Plus, Recharge, Klaviyo.
Creative Workflow: Google Drive, Frame.io, Monday.com, Slack, with creatives delivered in labeled batches by our content team.
AI Tools: ChatGPT, Claude, and AI-assisted tools for analysis, reporting, and creative iteration.
Bare Minimum Requirements (if you do not meet every point, please do not apply)
$10M+ in Meta spend you personally managed, not your agency's total, including at least one account run at $50,000+/day for three consecutive months.
Hands-on Snapchat experience: launched, optimized, and reported on campaigns with at least $100,000 in managed spend.
Hands-on AppLovin experience: launched and managed live e-commerce campaigns in Axon Ads Manager.
Profit-first buying: managed spend against contribution margin, MER, or new-customer CAC, not platform ROAS alone.
Structured creative testing: run a testing process end to end, briefs, test structure, kill/scale rules, documented learnings.
Attribution literacy: understand the gap between platform-reported and incremental results, using Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar.
Account health at scale: handled ad rejections, account restrictions, and appeals without letting performance collapse.
Verifiable track record:
can share redacted Ads Manager screenshots by month, plus a founder or manager reference.
Ideally, You Also Have
$50M+ in Meta spend personally managed, including an account run at $100,000+/day.
$250,000+ managed on AppLovin Axon, ideally including rest-of-world or multi-country campaigns.
$1M+ managed on Snapchat at or above target efficiency.
Health and fitness category experience, including how to get creative approved without constant rejections.
International scaling across multiple countries and currencies, including Latin America. Spanish is a plus.
Incrementality testing: designed geo-holdout or conversion-lift tests and moved budget based on results.
Subscription or membership economics: optimized for lifetime value, not only first order.
Multi-brand or zero-to-one experience across several brands at once.
Creative direction: can write hooks, scripts, and briefs that editors execute, not just pick winners.
rained junior buyers or written SOPs another buyer used to run an account.
Meta partner relationships on betas, policy escalations, or account reviews.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 days: every account is audited and documented, a written testing SOP is live, and launches run through the approval gate with zero tracking errors.
First 90 days: new creative tests launch weekly on schedule, and new-customer CAC on Meta is at or below target while spend grows.
First 6 months: Snapchat and AppLovin scaled to target budget share at target efficiency, and at least one incrementality test has changed budget allocation.
First 12 months: paid acquisition runs from a documented playbook, contribution margin from paid media is up year over year, and the playbook has been deployed on a second brand.
Every week: the creative team gets a data-backed brief, the performance report lands on time, and there are no preventable account restrictions or tracking outages.
Any hour: rejections, restrictions, spend spikes, and tracking failures are acknowledged within one hour and fixed or escalated within three.
BFCM: budgets are surf-scaled hour by hour through the peak, capturing strong windows at target efficiency and cutting back rapid when performance slips.
Not a Fit If
You need a strict 9-to-5, or would not drop everything for a rejection or check budgets overnight through BFCM.
You rely on cloaking, burner accounts, or other policy workarounds. That is an immediate disqualification.
You expect to run our spend through your own ad accounts or Business Manager. All accounts, pixels, and pages stay company-owned.
You plan to keep other clients or run an agency on the side.
You are looking for a part-time role or a short-term project.
