You own the flow of materials and equipment onto site: ordering, receiving, inspecting, storing and issuing, so crews have what they need on the day they need it. Candidates must live within daily commuting distance of site.The RoleThe Field Material Coordinator manages the procurement, storage and distribution of materials and equipment at construction sites. You are the link between the suppliers and the crews: tracking what has been ordered, confirming what has landed, catching what is short or damaged before it stops work, and keeping the laydown yard in a state where anyone can find what they need.You work directly with suppliers, contractors and project teams, and you report material status to project managers, engineers and procurement staff. When a shipment arrives wrong, you are the one who sorts it out.What You'll DoCoordinate the procurement, delivery and storage of materials and equipment at construction sitesDevelop and maintain material tracking systems to monitor inventory levels, deliveries and usageWork with suppliers,



contractors and project teams so materials and equipment arrive in time to hold the project scheduleInspect incoming materials and equipment for quality and compliance with project specifications and standardsResolve material issues and discrepancies, including shortages, damages and incorrect shipmentsMaintain accurate records of material transactions: receipts, shipments and inventory adjustmentsCoordinate material handling and storage activities so the yard stays safe and efficientCommunicate with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers and procurement personnelWhat You BringBachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related fieldExperience working as a material coordinator or procurement specialist in the construction or engineering industryKnowledge of material management principles, practices and proceduresFamiliarity with construction materials and equipmentStrong organizational and multitasking skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a rapid paced and dynamic environmentLocal to the Sherwood Park and Edmonton area and able to be onsite five days a weekPre-Employment RequirementsSuccessful completion of a 5-panel drug testSuccessful completion of a breath alcohol testScreening must be completed before site access is grantedWork EnvironmentOnsite in Sherwood Park,
